Passion, Plates, and Perspectives: Samuel Baeza in Focus

Introducing Samuel Baeza, our exceptional Executive Chef, whose journey is shaped by a love of family, food, and exploration. Each of these stories reveals a glimpse into the life of a chef whose creativity and passion are inspired by deeply personal moments and unforgettable experiences.

From the vibrant markets of London, where Sam finds beauty in seasonal blooms and fresh herbs, to the family gatherings that reflect his strong bond with loved ones in Seville, his life is a celebration of connection and creativity. His culinary journey began with a milestone achievement as the youngest head chef to manage a restaurant, an accomplishment that highlights his drive and dedication.

Sam’s passion for adventure extends beyond the kitchen to the skies, as captured in his first paragliding experience over the breathtaking landscapes of Turkey.

Whether he’s sourcing ingredients, spending time with family, or seeking his next thrill, Sam’s story is one of passion, pride, and the pursuit of excellence. Let’s dive into the moments that define his incredible journey.

Flowers make everything better

In my free time, I love nothing more than roaming Columbia Road Flower Market or New Covent Garden Market, buying seasonal flowers and plants for my flat. I am also the first to volunteer to go to the market to get fresh herbs or flowers for our events.

Family is everything

Family is so important to me. I have two beautiful sisters and adoring parents back home in Seville. This image was from my cousin's wedding, the perfect excuse for us all to get together in our finery and celebrate my sister’s relationship and our amazing family unit.

Work goals

This was a particularly proud moment for me: my first role as a head chef managing a restaurant, events, and multiple bars. I didn’t know at the time, but I was the youngest person to have held this role.

Up, up and away

My biggest passion other than family and food is travelling. I love travelling and new experiences, and this photo sums those things up in one. My first ever time paragliding was in Turkey this year. Seeing the world from such a height was such a thrill. As soon as I returned to the UK, I jumped straight on my laptop to book another adventure.
